Have you been accepted to a college, received a scholarship or financial aid? Please be sure to inform the guidance office of any acceptances, scholarships, or financial awards you have received. We all want to share your good news! Would you like to receive information about scholarships? The guidance office is happy to answer questions you may have about finding scholarship opportunities. All you need to do is to complete the Student Information Packet and turn it into your guidance counselor. The Cumberland Community Foundation will award $745,000 in college scholarships to students from Cumberland County. These scholarships come from endowments created by generous individuals and civic groups. The deadline to apply for most 2019 awards is March 15, 2019. Numerous CFHS students have received scholarships through the foundation. Why don’t you give it a try? The Cumberland County Association of Principals and Assistant Principals is proud to be able to present scholarships to qualifying high school seniors to help them defray the cost of higher education. For more information on this opportunity, please refer to the CCAPAP Scholarship Application form. Scholarships are available through the Naval ROTC program. Information on eligibility and the application process can be found in the NROTC Scholarship PowerPoint. Have sticker shock over college application fees? There are colleges that do not charge application fees. Follow the link for a list of these schools. Worried about paying for college?
FASFA 2016 is scheduled for Saturday, February 20 from 9 to 12. Locations will be announced later. Would you like to know about Federal Student Aid in general? You can apply for Federal Student Aid whether you will be attending a community college or a four-year college. Caution: There are websites that assist students in filing the FAFSA if they pay a fee.
